Was everybody really Kung Fu fighting?
A 1974 one-hit-wonder sung by Carl Douglas. Originally the song was meant to be a B side.
However, after having spent over two hours recording the A-side and then taking a break, "Kung Fu Fighting" was recorded quickly in the last ten minutes of studio time – in only 2 takes, due to a three-hour constraint for the entire session. It was then agreed that Kung Fu Fighting be flipped to the A-side. The single went on to sell eleven million records worldwide and started a craze for the martial art sport.
